The certificate program is aimed to build professionals for installing and implementing sustainability interventions not only from laws or regulations point of view but also from economic viability point of view.

5 separate modules under the certificate program will make sure the trainees understand how to integrate different departments of a company to achieve integrated sustainability goals.

From goal setting to organization building to implementing interventions, the certified sustainability managers will work as true transformer of the businesses.

Training Modules:

To become a certified sustainability manager, participants have to successfully complete the following five training modules:

Module 1: Sustainable Use of Resources in Textiles Industry.

Content:

a)     Energy, GHG, Air Emission Management (Energy Balance)

b)     Steam Management (Steam and Condensate Balance)

c)     Water, Wastewater (Water Balance)

d)     Efficient use of textile material (Material Balance)

Module 2: Sustainable Chemicals and Environmental Management.

Content:

a)     Resource Efficient Management of Chemical

b)     Chemical & Environmental Management System in Textile & Garments Industry

Module 3: Safety Management in Textiles Industry

Content:

a)     Industrial Safety (Fire, Structural, Electrical)

b)     Occupational Health & Safety

Module 4: Compliance (Social & Materials) Management

Content:

a)     Stainable Human Resource & Compliance Management (BSCI, SEDEX, ICS, WRAP, C-TPAT, Labor laws, ILO)

b)     Buyer's COC (Primark, H&M, M&S, Lidl, VF, etc.)

c)     Modern CSR Practices

d)     Product Compliance & It's Sustainability Management (GOTS, OCS, OEKOTEX, STeP)

Module 5: Sustainability Management System (Higg FEM)

Content:

a)     Sustainability in Textile Value Chain – Consumers'/ Brands and Manufacturer's Perspective

b)     Data Management & Sustainability Reporting (Excel, Doc, Visio)

c)     Higg FEM Training

(Note: Individual Module Duration is 2 full days / 14 hours)

Program Fees.

Ø  Individual Training Module: 9,900/- (Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Taka Only)

Ø  Total Certificate Program (5 training Modules): 39,900/- (Thirty Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Taka Only)

Ø  Note: For SAC issue certificate on Higg FEM, an additional BDT 2,500/- will be added per participant.

Eligibility Criteria.

a)      A graduate from any discipline with at least 2 years experience in social compliance, maintenance & engineering, or production management in the Textile Industry.

b)      A graduate from any discipline with at least 1 year experience in ECR/Environmental/Chemical Management in the Textile Industry.

c)      Textile/Apparel/Chemical/Environmental/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering students (who have completed minimum 3rd year of B.Sc. degree) from reputed institutions with a strong desire to build a career in sustainability management.

Methodology

Ø  PowerPoint Presentations, Exercises, Practical Demonstrations of Tools and Techniques and Materials, Practical Case Sharing, Question and Answer Sessions.
